Score One 4 Children's Cancer Research - Fundraiser

Hockey Teams Fight Children’s Cancer

The Romeo Bulldog hockey teams are using their games on January 29th to help fight childhood cancer. The teams will donate all the proceeds from the events of January 29th to Childhood Cancer charities.

The Bulldogs varsity team will play division rival Marysville at 8:30 pm at Suburban Ice Macomb. The Junior Varsity team will play Lutheran High North at 7:00 pm.

There will be t-shirts and scarves for sale. Events will include 50/50 raffles, prize raffles, and other games and contests. Donations will also be taken at the game.

The Bulldogs will be wearing special jerseys that night. Each player will wear a black jersey with gold lettering. Each player will choose a friend or family member that has been affected by childhood cancer and have their name stitched to the back of the jersey. At the end of the game, the players will give their jersey to a family representative of the person they choose to honor.  This fundraiser especially touches my heart - my nephews Anthony and Michael Grifka, will be playing on the varsity team for their mom (my sister), and for my sister-in-law.  Go Bulldogs!

Team officials and volunteers are expecting a huge crowd the night of the 29th and they ask that you spread the word about this event throughout the community.

More information about this Charity Game and the Romeo Hockey Program can be found at: www.RomeoHockey.com
